On friendship

It ticks me off that it seems like people think being friends with me is about getting all the references, which tbh is nice but that's what makes us peers, not friends. Friends are people who talk you through a manic episode: and that's what none of the famous people have ever done. Right now, the list of people who I trust when I'm crazy is my Mum and possibly Lucinda if I'm only mildly crazy. - As for the local theatre scene -- take a hint, guys: I'm not your friend and mocking me behind my back as a Tommy Wiseau figure is why I'm not making a series for you. As I say, make it yourselves. If you think making a movie is so damn easy, show me. I've made 3 features: how many have you lot made? 🐸 I don't go to plays, so it's highly unlikely I'd ever run into any of you. - With classical music, honestly I stopped going to gigs because I was worried Jake might be there. That's the main reason. Plus obviously I'm writing rock right now, so that's where my head is. Classical music is cool, but the gigs are pricier than open mics or an average pub band. - Re: the space puzzle -- well, I was sort-of hoping Chloe wanted to make movies too. She mentioned in her maiden speech that she was a film buff, and her videos for the Mayoral stuff were quite slick. I knew she'd been a broadcaster, but wasn't sure if she'd ever been behind the camera. Film buff note: the way the Gollum scenes are cut in the Two Towers was Fran's idea. That's what the Frodo Franchise book said, anyway...
