A Stravinsky opera. I have absolutely no idea what is going on, but it's very artsy-fartsy. Striking imagery. - I haven't seen this before. It's turning me on.
Langridge is my favourite Britten tenor.
Francesca showed us a clip of a different production during my 20th century music history paper.

I feel like me vs. NZ Opera is like NY City Opera vs. the Met.
Slightly overblown, but if you threw me together with Alex Galvin and Alex Taylor, that'd be a fair comparison.

It surprises me that an MP would be seriously into classical music and opera.
That's me stereotyping MP's... I tend to think of them as lawyers or unionists.
Though, then again, those are artforms of the 1%, and that's the sphere of public life politics inhabits.

I love Stravinsky's orchestrations. It's in Latin, which suits him. I dislike the Rake's Progress because Stravinsky doesn't set English well.
As a vocal writer, he's interesting.
I can't follow Latin. I went to a public school.

What I learned via the cannabis saga: there's a lot of Nats in classical music.
I'd always thought gay people were Labour/Greens, but apparently not. That's fine, everyone else likes my style. 🧠
As a dole bludger, I can lead the life that I want, while it seems like jobs mostly only want me if I'm straight.
I was never straight; I was just closeted.

I think I've encountered one of the classic sexist tropes: which is that women are punished for being emotional.

To type something controversial: I find the idea of being trans and being an actor incompatible. I feel like if I was playing a guy, then I wouldn't be living as a woman.
I realise Rūrangi was very clever with the casting, but that's somewhat different to the spiritual topics that my script was themed around.
For the book, I might change Calliope to a Theology or comparative religion major.

best thing about watching from home - pauses and bathroom breaks. 🤣
I wonder if Jacinda still reads these... 👋
