My plan for 2024.

Honestly, though, the Māori course is what I'm doing. That's the thing that I've committed to, and it's a full-time course.


I'm hoping that that's a year of study that will be useful for employment, but also because I feel that need to connect with my Māori whakapapa, to whatever extent that's possible.


I say I'm culturally Māori. I grew up with that culture, and then I also found it with my cannabis friends. While there are some connections within my lineage, it's something that isn't massively important to my sense of self -- it's more like an interesting surprise. It's become important over my trans journey, however, and that's why I chose to do this.


I guess I grew up with all that bi-cultural crap on TV, and thought that everyone was having a similar experience. Whereas yeah, I wasn't aware that it was eccentric for my white dad to watch Māori TV. - It looks like there are other places that I can take it, so it's not geographically limited. I'm liking this place, so I'm probably staying here for the duration of that. I'm hoping that this will keep the dole people from cutting back my benefit. As for teaching, I'm still not sure if I'm keen. I think I'd rather use my brain to earn money.
