On the plus side, this was an accident; it wasn't an example of me trashing my equipment during a tantrum! If I can't recover my backup data from the damaged drive, then that's all my backups from Premiere circa 2021-2022 and my juvenilia gone. On the plus side, all my script ideas are backed up, and I've still got plenty of physical documents regarding my childhood.

False alarm! I was in bed, but on a flat surface it's still ok. I'm budgeting for a sturdier hard drive. There's these 'rugged' ones at PB Tech that look good.
