Well, I've got a fondness for it. Particularly G&S, but also the early Kern pieces and all those other forms in other European countries. Apparently Strouse, who studied with Boulanger, said that he had a talent for light music, and that's certainly something that I'm good at (though I think my serious music is good). I really don't dance, but I'm fascinated by dance rhythms. I love real voices, and that's a real difference between myself and Sondheim, who wasn't a fan of the voice. The lopsided smile is just a spooky coincidence. I was always like that. 🤣
