Another point I'd make is that there's been a consistent phrasing that suggests that the last 5 years of being trans in the streets somehow wasn't a transition, and that only through the magic of VUW and the Film Commission producing Weeded Out could I possibly have any kind of transition. There's transphobia in the Greens, and I'd like to respectfully request that people interrogate and challenge those views.
