'jokes'

well, I can laugh at myself, but I think a lot of people who think I'm overly defensive aren't aware of how much it sucks to have people 'jokingly' call you a girl or a poofter. It happened a lot when I was a teenager. Which is why I'm particularly insulted that, despite these 'jokes' when I was in school, people still struggle to accept the real me who wants to be a woman. 👋
