Sections 18 and 19 protect my political party, and my personal right to free expression. 'De-escalating' me to university is unacceptable. Sorry, but as I've proven (again), my research interests are simply better-served by private research. Did VUW write Tātai Whetū? No, I did, using a chatbot. Did VUW discover my hidden ancestry? No, the National Library did. Did VUW write The Perfumed Garden? No, I did. I got another 26 weeks on the benefit automatically; that means I'm applying for jobs. - My view is simple: academia isn't my space, largely due to queerphobia. - I have the right to go about my business with minimal surveillance. As a citizen, I'm entitled to peaceful assembly and non-violent protest. Those activities shouldn't be the business of the SIS, GCSB or international spies.
