In praise of local amenities

I bitch about Wellington a lot, but there's several areas where the city shines. The WCL library service is very good, despite the rebuild of the Central Library, and has always had a forward-looking bent. That's why it offers web subscriptions as well. The music library was really complete, and had a lot of the show albums that had caught my ear. The other locations are ok, but the top floor of the Central Library had a quiet section that was actually good. The local archives are great, and the bus service runs well.
