One of the upsides of our DIY revolution was that we all got to do what were often improvised bits, capturing those on our phone cameras (or crews, in some cases). Dak Headroom is the archetypal example, but it permeates the entire film.

Why all the major 7ths?

I did a lot of jazz charts in high school. I'd usually turn a tonic chord into a 6th or 7th. Turned a lot of dominant chords into 13ths. For some reason, I'm really keen on major 7ths and 9ths. - T
