How Irish am I?

Well, I'm at least 3 or 4 generations Kiwi on all sides of my family, but my mother and father had Irish citizenship for a while when we were living in Milan. My maternal great-grandfather was from Northern Ireland, but he lived there before Ireland became a republic, so they were eligible for Irish passports. Mum was very upset that me and Stephen weren't, as she had wanted to get that citizenship issue sorted before we were born so that we'd be eligible. - Lana, who flatted with us for a year, had an Irish passport. We had several female flatties, so it wasn't all that vibe from The Day The Flat Burned Down. 🤣 - My father's side of the family identifies more with Scottish ancestry, as Pater Riddell migrated from Glasgow.
