'Going forward by gazing backwards'

That's my general attitude. One thing that annoys me about climate change is that people pretend as if this is the first time that climate change has ever happened. I mean, the Ice Age is obvious, but there's also climate change in written history. The Anthropocene is qualitatively different, however, in that it's scientifically proven that man is the key driver of climate change.
