Inferring some clues from The Guardian. Apparently, industry professionals thought that the lengthy post-production process for the four Disney/Sony Beatles films was suspicious. It was supposed to be lavish, set-based and using practical effects. Given those axioms, it would be extremely rare for such a film to need 18 months (or more) in post-production. One of the reasons they were willing to hold Macca and Michelle hostage is that we'd cancelled their plans several times via Beatles Invade New Zealand, and they haven't gotten through more than a day or two of filming. - Yes, Sir Paul is still badly injured. Whether he's safe, I'm not really sure. I'm in New Zealand, but it looks like he was able to make a public appearance in the UK. He tells me that he faked it by answering questions remotely. It's his vanity: he wants to seem invulnerable to his fans.
