I really fucking hate it when people paint my interest in Ms. Swarbrick as being some kind of monomania. Like, if I remember correctly, virtually everyone in the media and politics got a spray during one of my various manias. Plus I regularly recorded tapes for Jacinda when she was PM. I complain about virtually everything under the sun... I'm a born whinger. Hell, I even took a potshot at Hipkins (before he was PM).

Plus all those stupid thoughts from the music people about Amanda. Like, I'm fucking insulted that a bunch of gay people thought they knew how it felt to be trans. I came out: I wrote a major new work for guitar and orchestra.

Wrote being the operative word. I wrote that piece in women's clothes at a jobseeking course while stoned.
