I've introduced the NZ film audience to most of my produced and unproduced ideas, but there's one more that I've got.
I've been searching for a way into a WWII NZ musical for a number of years, and have had a few meetings with Jock Phillips about that idea.
Anyway, I was finally able to watch War Stories Our Mothers Never Told Us on NZ on Screen -- I sent you an email about it many years ago, when I was actively developing The Battle of Manners St., but I never got a reply.
But yeah, I think there's a musical within those stories from the documentary and Eve Ebbett's book (which I have a copy of), plus I note that you played the piano part for that doco, so you're probably interested in musicals and such.
Grey Gardens pioneered using documentaries as a subject for a musical.

I re-read my Weeded Out script. It's good, but my book is better. It's probably going to be something similar to An Asian At My Table, as a collection of my best anecdotes and stories and satirical sketches.
My current draft of my book has the Election 2023 skit screenplays and glossy pages of the various character models.
I've been meaning to read Chairman Fred, but I've got a Tikanga Māori book that I've borrowed from Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

My Shipwrecked screenplay is coming along; I've tweaked a few bits, and I'm considering morphing the Taliban sketch into a Cabinet scene for Shipwrecked.
My Speaker skit has a rough draft, but it's quite long, yet also doesn't feel long enough.
