Classical guitar vs. classical music

It's the same the world over: we're just barely recognised as a classical instrument, and they all think that it's like rock. Newsflash: there's grade exams from Grade 1 to FTCL. Hence, it's not like rock, where people seldom if ever play the same tunes as each other. We have a shared repertoire, a technique that's evolved over centuries, and it's been part of the classical world since the late 18th century, following the lute as the primary stringed accompaniment for parlour music. As a result, any competent classical guitarist has the potential to perform my preludes.
