I definitely wish I could conduct. I never learned that skill.
It'd make people have more faith in my ability to run a studio session, but I'm not spending money, particularly now that Ken is in Dunedin.
I wish I was Brouwer. That's been one of my fantasies since I was a teenager.
But then... I'm sort-of hopeful that I'll be able to play into my fifties, which isn't a guarantee or anything.

Well, I'm planning to get loaded, though I dunno if I'll watch the Rainmaker or not.
I've seen clips from it... it's ok.

Bought a Scrumpy, so I'm already hammered and that's just more booze. 🐸

Jane used to brag about her masterclasses with David Russell.
All the American players thought her technique was particularly pure.
I remember in one of my lessons, she explained that David Russell used to date a massage therapist, and she reckoned that influenced his style.

While, as for my style -- I think my jazz background heavily influences my classical sound.
That's why I'm so keen for Chris to premiere my concerto. He's got a similar background.
I'm sure Rameka would be equally good, but I suspect Chris is an easier sell to the NZSO or whoever.

I'm surprised that they thought I'd let Jake play the piece.
That's why I hate the classical world -- they were so willing to cut him slack, yet I've always been the freak.
Plus Chris said he was interested. I'm planning to hold him to that.

I really like Rameka's pieces/improvs. It's a style that I can't do, and that's impressive.
His tremolo technique is really tight, though I think his harmonies are meh.
That's my area, though: my harmonies are why people listen to my music.

If I was famous, I'd totally try to track down Oscar Kightley and talk to him.
Yeah, I like Bro'town but I've also seen Sione's 2. I'm not a theatre person, though, so that'd be awkward.
It'd be cool to have a proper interview with Paddy too, rather than me ranting during the Daktory segment.

It's funny -- it seems like the media pros stalk my page, yet I'm still an underground hit (at best).
I mean, I've had a few videos that might have crossed over to mainstream NZ .. three sad waltzes, weed ad etc. .. but mostly it's just that my targeting was tight-as.
It's great that Dave's video seems to have really penetrated the mass unconscious, though. I'm very proud of that. 👍
