The boycott hasn't ended yet. It's still going until Weeded Out: the movie dies. As for 'do the gay drama for visibility' - no, hire a dumb bimbo for that. Visibility comes in many forms. Being a trans journalist and composer is visibility. The Dakumentary is about as long as Pose, cost tens of millions less, and had a transition rather than 'just' an out and proud person. Though the film isn't in chronological order, it's obvious that I start largely as a man, then finish as a whakawahine. The best thing about it is that it isn't another gay drama: it's proof that gender-diverse people can have real jobs and do meaningful things. Ms. Swarbrick doesn't identify as trans, but has male energy. She models herself on gay men, not straight ones. I'm a third gender person, with female energy. Trannies are disproportionate cannabis smokers, so it was also accurate.
