So, if you're wondering how we managed to make Portrait of a Knight feel choregraphed without using a choreographer (we had a fight choreographer for Canvas No More, but the rest of the movements were devised by me, Stephen or the actors), it's that we shot it in the Italian way. Italian films were famous for dubbing all the scenes, which allowed them to use music to synchronise the cameras and the dancers. That's generally how dance is filmed, but not how movies are made. So, yes, our process was more or less about creating that sense of a stylised score.

One correction: Oliver Denman blocked the kiss in Here and Now. Quite a good piece of blocking, so worth mentioning that it was one of the AD's.
