Yes, we have those in New Zealand! When I went to Burnside, people used to jokingly say that Avonhead was Asianhead. In fact, my school was roughly 50% Asian. Lots of nationalities.

I had friends that were Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese and Malaysian. It was very racially mixed, though there weren't a huge amount of Pasifika or Māori.

Kawiti really was from the Solomon Islands. Stephen kicked him out of the den -- we made a little sitcom about our gaming lounge that we called 'the den' -- for reasons that I never really understood.


Basically, he felt like all the guys were coming to play games, rather than to hang out socially -- shades of the weed club.
