Amy is a diminutive of Amanda, so it's the same name. My legal name is Amanda. Some people call me Amy. Mostly people that know me well.

Amy is what I call my guitar. If you think about it as a metaphor, that's how close they are. Now that I'm not under semi-constant mental health watches, I generally prefer Amanda. I'd rather people pronounced Amanda Michelina correctly if the Luxons are mad.
