Amanda Happens To The Beatles

I said my initial view of The Beatles was that they were an Indigenous band.
That's what drives the album; as a Māori, I interpret them like one.
Our beat in that era was much like the Mersey beat.
Golriz's parents apparently liked the album.
Working For Each Other was a hit thanks to the pull Paul had in the Middle East.
Penetrating Asia was Peter Jackson's doing. He's very well-regarded in China.

Paul was very keen to tell me why he liked my musicals: he wrote them too!
He was around the musicals scene since the mid-1950's.
The plan was to turn him into a male Judy Garland.
Hugh protested, saying his songs were better than most people.
Several Hugh Martin songs involve his melodies, but he got screwed over.
Ralph Blane was a very shrewd businessman, and Paul didn't have sketches.
He co-wrote several songs in Athena, including Love Can Change The Stars.
My rendition of Love Can Change The Stars for the Wellington Classical Guitar Society prompted Paul to devise Yesterday. It was freaky, and I didn't know that it was his song.
Still haven't seen it. My brother did.

People hate that I'm revealing this, but The Beatles could read music.
Paul and Ringo could read a song sheet re: reading music. Basic treble clef.
George and John could read a PVG score.
George wasn't much into reading music, but gave Jane early classical guitar lessons.
-
Even when I worked with him, Paul could only read piano-vocal scores fluently.
He did string arrangements for The Boys of Dungeon Lane.
Paul used Sunday In The Park With George when learning to read music.
Michael Jackson used West Side Story.
I'm conservatory-trained. I could read all clefs from about 15.
-
I'm told that my three-guitar version of An American In Paris is circulating.
Did that before my year where I was part of Pettman Academy.
Mum gave it to them as part of the audition. Yes, really!
It's probably been refined, but I was 14 when I wrote that.
That's how I learned the clefs and transpositions.
I read music fluently enough to orchestrate at a professional level.
Prepared my own parts for Portrait Of A Knight. The Beatles vocal arrangements are by ear, but I can write it down.
