Am I really Māori?

I'm so sick of this question! Iwi whakapapa books aren't available to the general public... - Yes, and I knew of a vague connection to Ngāti Mahuta since 2017. My paternal uncle sent me photos, one of which was Princess Piki's wedding party. Those were of ET Huia Riddell, and family photos that he had easy access to. She was known as Nanny Riddell by Riddell's of his generation. My uncle used her to claim affiliation with the iwi and the Tainui trust. This was later confirmed by the National Library in 2025. It turns out that my great-great-grandfather had an affair with a woman from the tribe. In those days, they gave the white-passing kids to their Pākehā whānau. It's in the whakapapa book. My great-grandfather was Henry Riddell. Taylor Swift's from my great-grandmother's family. Hope Bailey. She was whāngai and full-blooded. Taylor's actually half-Native American as well as slightly Māori (1/16th Māori). Her father and my father were cousins, hence we're distant cousins. The shock of discovering my relation to Tupaia was extensively verified. This discussion is indicative of tory racism and envy.

ET Huia Riddell ca. 1947-1948. George Riddell's first son married into the tribe, and she was his kid. My great-grandfather Henry Riddell was the twelfth child, and conceived after his supposed mother was over 40. When this came to light, a lot of people said that they presumed I was Māori. Why? My skin when I tanned + my physical features.
