My use of copyrighted material was non-profit, clearly news, and was also a form of criticism if you consider the AMPP page as a whole. It's about ethics. In public media, most footage is fair game. RNZ use that excuse too. - In contrast, they expected to exploit my IP (and now my ancestor's IP) for money. Their explicit goal was to get the rights to produce a multi-million dollar story.
