'I'd rather not make an airbrushed version of my life story; the warts-and-all version was way more entertaining.' - It's not therapeutic; it's not helpful. It's merely wasting my time, and I'm not an actor. I refuse to make something nice because everyone else is afraid to take a risk. I refuse to do gigs for people that never bother to hang out with me. - And yeah, the notes sucked. If that's what I can expect from the Film Commission, then I'm inclined to take my business elsewhere. I take songwriting very seriously. Like, I'm nearly 30 and I've written 69 songs. It's very important to me, but so is making movies. 🎥

To be fair, the number is more like 30-odd if we're only counting songs that I wrote both music and lyrics for. 32 of the songs are from These Words Are Meant For Someone, plus the Shakespeare and Bruce Mason settings.
