Yes, I took drum/percussion lessons too, but only for a few months, and 3 years of trombone. 🤣 I've got a natural feeling for it, though, so I'm good at setting the counts for the funky metres that I write in. Ken said that we should always be able to clap what we wrote, and yep, I can clap my pieces (mostly).
