  2. I don't particularly consider myself a jazz musician, though I do consider myself an improviser.

  3. I'm not looking for a pathway to tenure. That's how they do these days: they put people like Salina and Jerome in the Lilburn house to smooth their way onto the faculty. I'm not interested in an academic career.

  4. I really don't want to be part of campus life. I just don't, and that's my decision to make. 👍
