For the pollies: I think one of the universities actually failing would cause system change. Bailing them out isn't going to create that solution. Uni should be free for ALL Kiwis. That's the job of the next several governments -- to make our universities free, and far more accountable to the public over their funding decisions. Te PÅ«kenga is basically broke, despite the merger, so every student like me who has almost $50,000 in debt has basically propped up a system that doesn't work. š
