Do you guys have all this shit that I've got re: back channels and staffers attempting to edit your stories as you cut them? If you do, you still have a media company and bosses that can go to bat for you, while I've essentially got Helen Clark observing me.

Basically, if this is how it is, then I need more support. Gary's great, but he's my mate, and not a journo.
