cringes while reading the news; re: RNZ, the general vibe was that it was spoken aloud, so the punctuation was often shit.

The fad for short paragraphs irritates me about the news. That's why I like Newsroom and the Spinoff -- they're usually better-written. -

I made some changes to the Dakumentary: I cut 'I've Got You Under My Skin', moved all of the casino boat footage into the Three Sad Waltzes episode, and moved Dakta's police interview from Episode V to Episode IV. Plus I've added Ok Chloe and cut The Old Identity (which is a shame; I love that song) so that the first 3 episodes are movie-length. Funnily enough, Thistle Hall is looking like the most likely venue, so it's fun that it appears in the movie. I haven't timed the whole thing yet -- I got distracted during Episode IV, which is why I shifted the police interview to that episode. All the double-up songs from previous movies are gone, except for I Struck For Better Wages, which I felt was worth including as Ok Chloe has a shot of the Herald cartoon. - I'm probably going to charge people to watch it, as I can't afford the venue hire from my own pocket. It's $300, I think, so I guess I'll charge $10 a ticket and hope 30 people turn up. 🥝 It'd be great to tour Aotearoa with the movie. I suppose that depends on if someone wants to sink money into the licensing fees and travel costs, plus post-production.
