Amanda vs. the musicals and opera people?

Obvious answer. These people have never met me, yet attempted to steal my music. That's why I don't give a shit about their opinions. For all their talk of being warm, friendly people that just need me to give them a shot, they resorted to downright nasty and probably illegal tactics which revealed a lot of latent transphobia. Instead of meeting me in a room and talking like adults, Red Scare ruined a movie screening to make their displeasure with me plain. Around the same time, the bloody Unruly Tourists people were trying to coerce me to put my EP songs in their show. Not to mention the Wellington drag community calling me a creepy fetishist that needed to present like a man most of the time because I was only wearing women's clothes for sexual reasons ... despite my routine being far less sexy than theirs. Or the online attempts to use pornography to manipulate me... - This, of course, happened before I sang Good Thing Going. - To the 'pros': Making lame TV shows that you hope I'd watch isn't going to persuade me to sing. Accept that I'm a composer, and don't want to be involved in your backstage dramas. So, yeah, those attitudes, and Dave's belief that those people are too conservative, is why we're going a different route with The Perfumed Garden.
