Ok, here's an idea: what if you gave me a bunch of money to make Just Like Yesterday as a 100% animated film?

I'm a talented voice actor, so that's fine re: my discomfort.

That might actually cost $1 million bucks, but I really insist on the folk songs. I love Path of a Walking Man. Plus Lullaby and My Man's Gone. That way it can have that living cartoon effect that initially caught the interest of Peter.

If the verisimilitude of motion is important, then it could be mocap, but my idea is something in that traditional cel style (or emulating that with digital tech). Like the style of Dr. Brown's book.

That's internally consistent with my argument: re Tourism in New Zealand as well. ie that CGI is more likely to entice people to come here than Transparent. Loving Vincent did well, but that's not quite my idea ... similar, though.
